SACRAMENTO, CALIF. – CIF Sports Properties and Valley Children’s Healthcare announced today the signing of a four-year partnership through 2029. Valley Children’s will serve as the exclusive healthcare partner of the CIF Central Section, lending their support to Central California administrators, student-athletes, and their families.
“Valley Children’s Healthcare is an incredible organization, and we are proud to have them as a partner,” said Ian Frost, Interim General Manager of CIF Sports Properties. “The health and wellness of California’s student-athletes is of the utmost importance, so we appreciate Valley Children’s commitment to supporting education-based athletics through this partnership. Their strong focus on pediatric care, community outreach, and youth development aligns perfectly with the CIF’s mission to promote not only athletic excellence but also lasting values of health, leadership, and resilience.”
“At Valley Children’s, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed - in the classroom, on the field and in life,” said Dr. Carmela Sosa, director of Valley Children's Guilds Center for Community Health and complex care pediatrician. “Our partnership with the California Interscholastic Federation reflects our commitment to supporting safe, healthy sports participation for student-athletes across the Central Valley, through ensuring access to care and promoting lifelong wellness, opportunities and community connection.”
