SACRAMENTO, CALIF. – The 40th CIF State Basketball Championships are Friday and Saturday, March 11-12, at the Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, with tip-off set for 10:00 a.m. each day. Twenty-four teams will compete for 12 State titles. A complete schedule follows.
Tickets are available through TicketMaster or at the Golden 1 Center Box Office. Ticket prices per day start at $16 for adults and $10 for seniors (65+), children (2+) and high school students with a valid ASB card.

In the boys Open Division, Modesto Christian (2-2) returns to the title game for the first time since 2004, while Centennial, Corona (0-1) is searching for their first state crown after their lone appearance in 2014. In Division I, Damien (1-0) is looking to add a second state title after a 2015 DIII crown. Pleasant Valley (1-0) returns to the DIII Championship after a 2018 title win. In Division V Stuart Hall (0-1) returns to the state final after their lone appearance in 2018.
In the girls Open Division game, Archbishop Mitty (6-6) seeks to capture their seventh State title after last appearing in 2017, while Sierra Canyon (4-0) returns to the title game after winning the Open Championship in 2019. In Division I, Windward (3-2) returns in search of their fourth state championship after a 2018 Open Division crown, while Salesian (0-3) is still looking for their first state championship with their last appearance in the 2014 Open Division game. The Division III game features an unbeaten Oakland Tech (3-0) in the State Championships, with their last appearance in 2019. Branson (2-0) is also unbeaten in the state finals and looks for a third title in Division V after back-to-back wins in 2007-08.
Thirteen teams are making their first State Championship showing include: Chaffey (BDV), Clovis North (BDI), Elk Grove (BDII), Foothill (BDII), Imperial (GDIV), Justin-Siena (BDIV), La Salle (GDIII), Sage Hill (GDII), San Domenico G(DV), San Joaquin Memorial (GDII), Scripps Ranch (DIV), Shalhevet (GDV), and Venice (BDIII).
